Did you know the flex band mimics some of the Pilates reformer repetoire, yet is much lighter to carry and less expensive!?

In this 3 hour CPD Flex Band workshop with Stacey Beattie, you can expect to fall in love with the theraband.

The flex band is a much loved small piece of equipment as it is lightweight and easy to carry around with you yet you can do an incredible amount with it.  It can create challenges to your existing exercises while providing sensory feedback on your movements enhancing proprioception. This aids focus and invites a deeper connection between mind & body; muscles, fascia and movement. As well as adding resistance to your workout and increasing body awareness we will be using the flex band to aid in stretches and incorporate exercises from the Pilates reformer repertoire. 

You will learn how to add the band into your current repertoire, isolate specific muscle groups while assisting with core stabilisation and your other Pilates principles all within a safe and effective workout.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Apply the Pilates basic principles while incorporating the flex band
  2. Understand movement patterns with the flex band
  3. Learn how to use the band to increase resistance, isolate and integrate, aid stretches, provide support or to add challenge
  4. Provide a safe and effective workout whilst adding variety to your repetoire
