Yoga & Pilates classes with Clare

Join Harmonise Founder, Clare Francis, for weekly classes on Wednesday evenings at Revitalise, Brighton & Hove. Choose from an early evening Somatic Yoga class or a later Beginner and back care Pilates session.

Clare has over 25 years teaching experience and is a senior yoga teacher & teacher trainer with Yoga Alliance and a Stott trained Pilates teacher, and Pilates tutor, assessor and quality assurer. She has attended over 1,200 hours of Yoga trainings herself including hatha, Vinyasa flow, ashtanga, yin, yoga nidra, meditation, pranayama, chakras & elements, sound healing, trauma informed, back care, pre & post-natal, therapeutic yoga for cancer & therapeutic somatic yoga for healing, stress & burnout. She is also a trained life coach and energy coach.

Clare is known for her clear explanations, ability to make new information accessible and encourages embodiment of both the theory and practical aspects of yoga and Pilates to aid understanding through personal experience. Learn more about Clare here.

A class designed to release any stresses and tensions of the day.

‘Soma’ means ‘body’ and put simply, somatic yoga is a means of becoming increasingly aware of the body and slowing down to tune in. There is a sense of ‘undoing’ or ‘letting go’ of subconscious patterns held in the nervous system so that tissues and fluids move more freely and an upright posture can be held more effortlessly.

Primal, intuitive, and multidirectional movements facilitate the process, known to tone the vagal nerve to restore and bring balance to the overall network. Inner feelings of connection, release, space, calm and peace are often experienced.

This class is accessible to all and can compliment a more linear, dynamic practice.

This class is designed to increase your confidence in how to breathe, engage, relax and move in a way that your body and mind will thank you for.

The goal is to minimise any pain or discomfort, enhance body awareness and quality of movement, improve posture, create space, stabilise, strengthen and mobilise joints to restore balance and to find ways that support you to feel good in your bodies.
