Incorporate meditation, mindfulness & relaxation into your Pilates classes
PILATES CPD
With mental health issues, and levels of stress, overwhelm and burnout on the increase, incorporating mindfulness, body scans, breath practices and simple meditations into your Pilates classes will give your students the perfect addition to their holistic health and physical well-being.
Coming from a very physical background in my earlier years, I never had the confidence to teach or include body scans, mindfulness or simple meditations at the end of my Pilates classes. I used to worry that people would think they weren’t ‘doing’ enough. Fast forward 20 or more years, and I now teach from a far more holistic perspective and always incorporate some kind of relaxation for body, mind and being which my students really appreciate.
During this 3-hour workshop led by Harmonise Founder and yoga and pilates teacher Clare Francis, you will experience various techniques and learn about their associated benefits, to include:

- Progressive muscle relaxation
- Body scans
- Simple visualisations
- Breathing techniques to balance the nervous system
- Breathing techniques to aid sleep, healing and restoration
- Concentration and meditation practices to focus, calm and relax the mind
This workshop will include theory, practical exploration and teaching practice in pairs so you will be confident to incorporate what you learn straight away!
